Happy New Year!! :) It’s gonna be a great year! ~ I’ve gotta’ feeling, that’s this year gonna be a good good year~ :D
I’ve been spending time today trying to list down my new year resolution (although I must shamefully admitted that I had never stick to it throughout the entire year before… :x). So here are my 2010 resolutions!
1. Focus on my studies
Okay, a 0.2 drop in my CGPA is REAL scary. :/ Since this semester I have only 5 modules (4 core and 1 elective), it’s time to focus and pull up my CGPA. :)
By the way, I think I’m pretty lucky. *haha* On the first day of course registration, I tried to register for the elective that I (badly) wanted to take - basic counseling, but to my dismay, the class is already full 1 hour into online registration for courses. I was already planning into writing an email to the professor to see whether I can somehow take the course.
The next day, after the dance practice with some of the MLCS dancers, I reached home about 4.45pm (15mins before the end of registration). I tried to log in to my account to see whether I’m lucky and *bammmmm* I successfully registered for the courses! How luckily is that?! :)
But on the other hand, I feel kinda guilty because Jun Wei also asked me to help him bid for the course but I did managed to do so… :( Hopefully he can take the module somehow…
2. Go overseas (and this does not include Malaysia)
I haven’t been traveling much in 2009. The furthest I’ve traveled to is… Langkawi. How sad is that?! :( But it was a fun trip yeah – 300ml can of beer for RM$1.80, that’s heaven. :)
With the new law in place – Singaporeans coming back from Malaysia aren’t allowed to shop in DFS. No DFS – no absolut vodka! :( I HAVE to travel further!
I’m going to try and apply for Global Summer Studies (GSS) in June to Germany! Hopefully, I can get it. :) BEER. BEER. BEER. BEER.
Few days ago, my second brother asked me whether I wanna go Hong Kong with his family in August. Why not? :)
Hopefully, this year bunk four can go to Thailand for vacation! :) It’s kinda hard because all of us have conflicting schedules, even planning for a Gentings trip is difficult. :/
3. Save more money
This is the new year resolution that I ALWAYS failed. *haha* Gonna be year 3 soon and that’s when the study allowance will be cut. :( I’m planning to save at least $500 a month. And also, this lead to my next new year resolution…
4. Find more tuition deals
I need more income! Currently I have 2 tuition deals, which bring me about $300 a month. Hopefully I can find more so that I can bring in at least $600 a month. :)
5. Live a healthier lifestyle
First of all, it’s not that my lifestyle now ain’t healthy (apart from my drinking habit), I just want to live healthier. :)
Firstly, I’m gonna curb my drinking this year onwards. :) I shall not get myself drunk in public places anymore (I hope). Oh ya, and curbing my drinking habits helped to fulfill my 3rd resolution also. Double yeah! :D
Secondly, I shall stick on my running regime – jogging at least twice a week (with a minimum of 5km per sessions). I’m planning to join vertical marathon and sundown marathon (finally, a full marathon!) this year. :)
Thirdly, eat less fast-food. This is kinda a challenge because after our dance practice, the only places that are open in canteen A are all fast-food restaurants (and subway are… expensive)! :/ I shall ONLY eat fast food when there are no other choices. :)
Lastly, I plan to cycle to school everyday (unless it’s raining). :) But first, I need to buy a new bicycle. *haha* Need to spend money again!
6. Less emotional outburst
I hope. :)
7. Give something back to the community
I’m going to devote some of my time this year to do something meaningful and giving back to the society. :)
8. Learn something new
Bunk 4 has been discussing about this. Salsa maybe? :D Oh ya, and I want to learn cooking! The curry chicken that I cooked during our chalet was just… miserable. *haha* But hey, at least mine was the second best dish, according to our gourmet tester – Marcus! :D Well, it’s the first time I cooked (and learn it online), it’s not bad. Proud of myself! *pat myself on the back*
9. Be more organised
*haha* I’m going to clean my room at least once per week. :) My room is ALWAYS in a mess and I can’t seems to find my stuffs often. How amazing is that?! :D
I’m planning to spend the new few days sorting out all my stuffs and throw out all those unwanted stuffs. :) Gonna get a new cupboard and bed. *yeah* I’m also planning to paint my room lime green and going to buy a 32-inch HD TV for my Wii! :D Okay, this got nothing to do with my new year resolution…
10. Spend more time with my family
Yup, that’s something that I’ve always been wanted to do. :)
That’s all to my 2010 new year resolutions. Hopefully, I can stick to it this time round. :D

alvin!!!omg!!i got the basic counseling course..and i only realised that it clashed with my chem lecture just before the course registration closed and i SWEAR i dropped it at 4.45pm..maybe you got my spot!!!so qiao if that really happen!!!(:
HAHA!! Thanks to ya! :)
Yeah, let’s apply for GSS together for Germany! BEER!!!! But my holiday schedule kinda busy… having operation and in-camp training…
