Oh Wow. August 9, 2009

Oh Wow. It’s really been a while since I last blogged. Ok lah, I must admit that I’m getting damn lazy to blog. Over the past few weeks, I do have a lot of stuffs that I wanted to blog but when I start to type, I just don’t know where to start and what to write. *hmmmmmm* Anyway, so here am I blogging again! :)
First of all, So You Think You Can Dance Season 5 has finally ended. It’s a bittersweet feeling. Bitter – I’ve been following the season for almost 8 weeks on Youtube and I always looked forward to every Thursday because that’s when the videos will be uploaded. Now that it’s over, I think my Thursday will be… meaningless because there’s nothing to look forward on Thursday. :( *haha* Ok lah, that’s a little exaggerating. But you know what I mean. :) Anyway, season 6 is just around the corner – in one month’s time! Woohoo!! So still not that bad lah. :) Sweet – Yeah!! Jeanine won! :) Although I must admit that I’m still quite sour that Janette didn’t make it into the finale. She should have won! She was robbed! :( Did you guys watch the Argentine Tango she did with Brandon? It’s damn hot can?! Since the start of the season, I’ve been supporting Janette and Jeanine. Although technique-wise they might not be as strong as the others, but one thing that separates them from the rest – is their larger than life personalities. It’s really a true enjoyment to watch them perform on stage. :)
Last Thursday, we had our Bunk 4 chalet. Although it’s only for one night, I have a great time over there. :) First of all, wanna thank Ren Kun and Clara for booking the chalet and inviting us. I also wanna thank Clara for helping me cook all my food of the barbecue! 谢谢你们! :) Oh ya, and we finally got to celebrate Darrell’s birthday! After our barbecue, we had tequilas (must thanks Jun Wei for bringing tequilas also!) and heart-to-heart talk all the way till 6 a.m. Although we have known each other for almost 3 years, in reality, there’s a lot of things that we still don’t know about each other. Over the past few weeks, we have definitely get to know each other better (through several drinking sessions… *haha*) in one way or another. :)
Anyway, I promised Jun Wei that I’m gonna blog about how bad his English is. *haha* :D I was commenting about how a recent incident might affect the sovereignty of our bunk 4 (a metaphor) and he replied, “Oh, I heard that word from the movie ‘House Bunny’!” Actually, what he meant was sorority, which is of totally different meaning lah! In case you guys don’t know the meaning of these 2 words, here are the meanings (from Merriam-Webster Online):
Sovereignty
1. obsolete: supreme excellence or an example of it
2. a: supreme power esp. over a body politic, b: freedom from external control: autonomy, c: controlling influence
3. one that is in sovereign; especially: an autonomous state
Sorority
a club of women; specifically : a women’s student organization formed chiefly for social purposes and having a name consisting of Greek letters
Can you imagine how ku-ku I will sound if I say it will affect the sorority of bunk 4?! *haha*
Yesterday night, Desmond just told me that he was tested positive for H1N1. :( But I’m sure he will be fine. I know he’s a strong dude. Yes, he will be fine. :)
Last but not least, Happy 44th Birthday Singapore! :)

Looking forward to next weekend! :)
Actually, I wanna blog about the NDP preview that I attended on Saturday. BUT I’m kinda lazy now. I’m going to do it some time this week when I’m more free! :D
Bunk 4 Road Trip! July 3, 2009
Posted by En Xian in bunk_four.2 comments
Yesterday went Johor Bahru with Bunk 4 (Ren Kun, Clara, Jing Chyi, Xing Yun and Desmond) - our first ever road trip! :) *haha* Really wanna thank Desmond for being the driver the entire day. Thanks Desmond! 辛苦你了… :)
We had 肉骨茶 (which is damn good and cheap lah!) for lunch and after which, we went to City Square for karaoke, at Neway. Oh ya, the karaoke is REAL cheap! We sang for almost 6 hours and it’s less than S$10 per person! Cheaper than 10 dollars club in Chinatown lah! :D What I like most about Neway is that they provide 4 microphones, instead of the usual pathetic 2. :) On top of that, the English songs at Neway is waaaaaaaay much better compare to any of the karaoke I’ve been to in Singapore. They got ‘Boom Boom Pow’ by Black Eyed Peas leh (and of course many other songs)! *haha* The only down side? The air-con was damn cold can?! 10 degrees Celsius leh. I didn’t even know that air-con can go below 16 degrees Celsius. *haha* It was so cold that my knees hurt like hell man. Rheumatism maybe? :P After our karaoke session, we went to Hong Kong Kim Gary for dinner. Oh my… once again, it’s damn cheap lah! The prices on the menu are almost exactly the same compare to the same restaurant in Singapore, except it’s in RM instead of S$. :D All in all, I only spent like S$25 for the entire day. I’m sure bunk4 will have more outings to JB in the future. :)
We left Johor Bahru at around 8pm and Desmond actually send everyone of us home. :) After sending the rest of them home, I travelled with him to Bedok (to collect something for his uncle, who lived in Jurong) before sending me home. By the way, his iphone is damn cool lah! His iphone got this application that can actually ‘listen’ to any songs and tell you what song it is. Cool right?!
During the entire journey, we actually talked a lot of stuffs. *haha* We were discussing how come although bunk4 know each other for almost 3 years, we never had an argument before. Frankly speaking, I really don’t know why leh but I think is a real blessing. :)
Anyway, I really wanna thank him for lending me a listening ear throughout the journey. I really appreciate it… Once again, thanks! :)
Happy Birthday, Mr. Han! March 30, 2009

On Friday we celebrated Desmond’s 22nd birthday. It was supposed to be a surprise, but it failed. *haha*It was because all of us were waiting outside Crystal Jade and when Darrell’s car drove past, Desmond immediately saw Ren Kun. Can’t blame Ren Kun ya, who ask him to be so tall… :P Guess like we didn’t plan enough… *haha*
The twelve of us – Pierce, Jun Wei, Ren Kun, Clara, Joel, Jing Chyi, Xing Yun, Marcus, Cheryl (Clara’s sister), Darrell, Desmond and myself, had our dinner at Crystal Jade La Mian Xiao Long Bao@ Holland Village. Oh my, the steamboat was damn shiok can?! We had unlimited flow of 小笼包 and the twelve of us ordered 33 baskets, which is equivalent to 165 小笼包!!! Marcus actually finished 35 小笼包 all by himself and we all decided to call him god of 小笼包 from now onwards. *haha* Is he crazy or what man?! Someone please stop him from eating the entire universe!!! :)
We bought him banana chocolate cake from Awfully Chocolate – one of the best chocolate cake you can find in Singapore. We bought him two 6-inch cakes because we thought that it might be not enough for the 12 of us. But we only managed to eat only 1, because all of us are just too bloated to stuff anymore food into our stomachs. *haha* Guess like Desmond going to have banana chocolate cake for the next three meals to come. :)
Oh ya, and guess what we got him for his birthday present? Our official bunk4 bag! *haha* Guess like that doesn’t really come as a surprise! So currently, Ren Kun, Jun Wei, Jing Chyi, Desmond and I, all have the same bag. So Pierce and Joel, I’m sure you guys know what to expect for your birthday ya? *wink*

Crystal Jade La Mian Xiao Long Bao@ Holland Village

Pierce and I just love things to be HARD.

Jun Wei was trying out with the smile detector of my Pixon. Guess like it works!

怨鸯火锅. The 麻辣火锅 is super shiok can!

Ren Kun and Clara. By the way, thanks Clara for helping us to de-shell the prawns! :)

Pierce and I trying to offer the god of 小笼包 with his favourites.

Xing Yun, Jing Chyi and I.

My cousin, Joel, and I.

Joel and I were trying to act emo. Guess like we failed miserably andit seems like I’m touching Desmond (in the reflection)! :D

Happy birthday, Mr. Han!!

Mr. Han doesn’t seems to happy cutting his cake. Maybe it’s because Marcus’s shirt is waaaaay too distracting.

The sisters. By the way, please stop match-making me with your sister ok! It’s 送羊入虎口 ok!!

Hey guys, happy?!!!

Our last photo before we leave our table…

Twelve bloated and satisfied customers! :D
Really look forward to our next bunk 4 outing and our chalet in May…… :)
